Overview
A leading Social Media Company based in London are seeking a Wireless Network Engineer to join their team on a contract basis for 11 months. Duties: Develop comprehensive wireless network plans from market level prioritisation within a country down to individual site design and selection. Understand wireless network operator and infrastructure provider business objectives, constraints, requirements and network planning and deployment processes. Analyse KPIs and design networks to meet network quality and cost requirements. Radio Planning of 5G/4G/3G/2G networks to troubleshoot and improve KPIs. End-to-end network architecture engineering. Help FB product management, engineering and data science develop new network planning tools. Skills: 10 years of experience in wireless network infrastructure planning, deployment and operations. Knowledge of wireless access industry, business, technology (2G/3G/4G/Wi-Fi), regulatory environment and current challenges and opportunities. Knowledgeable in wireless operator methods and practices. Deep understanding of Microwave, Fiber, and RF engineering concepts. Hands-on experience with installing and troubleshooting wireless access networks and technologies. Experience configuring and using RF/Backhaul planning tools like Atoll, Planet and Pathloss. Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills. Ability to travel up to 20-30% internationally. BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or similar.
