Your Team: Wireless is responsible for looking at the Virgin, TalkSPORT and TalkRadio product set, continuously working on strategic projects with the aim of delivering best-in-class digital solutions, boosting competitiveness and being the leading content provider of world class journalism. Your role: a s a UI designer , you will report to the Head of UX&D, NewsUK and will work closely with the other team members within the team picking up projects and pushing them forward by following our iterative design process ensuring the customer is at every decision we make. Your role will be pivotal to ensure that our ideas are respective of the brands we have and seamlessly brought to life so we can test and iterate with users frequently but can also excite our stakeholders. You'll have a passion for design & technology. You'll be hands-on and willing to work in a fast paced, ever-moving environment and you'll keep up-to-date with the latest trends and be acutely aware of new practices in the field. Day to day you will: + Build a deep knowledge of all Wireless digital products + Develop the understanding of our visual brand language for existing products + Following our current UCD process and being an advocate for the way we work. + Ideate and create deliverables, scamps and interactive prototypes + Work with the team to build out journeys at lo-fidelity all the way through to prototypes to better visualise products and features, for user research, stakeholder communications and for development teams. + Work closely with colleagues within the wider UX&D teams to ensure learnings are being shared across the board so there's awareness of projects. + Ensure the conceptual designs balance customer and business goals + Champion usability and accessibility standards + Work in a fast paced environment and be able to work across multiple projects at one time + Continuously problem solve and want to gain a deeper understanding of our customers + Stay abreast of innovations in UI best practices, tools and topics of interest to the UI community and help infuse them back into the team What we are looking for from you: + A design degree or equivalent qualification + Experience working across web, mobile web and native apps + Experience working in collaborative environments alongside other UX designers/researchers, as well as wider disciplines including developers, business analysts and product owners + Capable of working in a fast past environment to tight timescales. + Experience working with senior level stakeholders + Creative and conceptual thinker + Basic prototyping skills; experience of one of the following - InVision, Flinto, etc. + Strong quality of output with presentations. + Ability to communicate and articulate design decisions to the team and stakeholders + Ability to manage time well and respond to time constraints accordingly + Strong understanding of user needs and business needs + Relationship building and stakeholder management What's in it for you?
