Overview
Our client are a large local government organisation and are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join their team. This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate. Our client is looking for someone who can come on board and help provide a professional and customer focussed Accounts Payable service and ensure performance and quality target while maintaining financial controls. You will be responsible for administering procure to pay processes including payment of invoices and handle enquiries from supplier and service areas relating to the procure to pay process and ensure that high levels of satisfaction are achieved in relation to AP service as well as Purchase Order and Invoice Management, Transaction processing along with being responsible for the processing of all payment runs for high value / volume made at least 3 times per week. To be considered for this role you will be an experienced AP professional preferably with experience of working within a public sector environment.
