Property Broker/Underwriter - 12-month Maternity Cover job, City, up to £50,000, working for a Lloyd's Broker Your new company Your new job working as a Property Broker/Underwriter will be working in the heart of the City within a market leading Insurance Specialist. Your new company are fast growing Lloyd's Coverholder who are currently looking for an International Property Broker to join their skilled and ambitious team. This is a varied, hybrid and hands-on role, providing successful placement of risks under the Property Binder Your new role Your new job working as a Property Broker/Underwriter means you will be responsible for dealing and reviewing enquiries and pre-underwriting risk and exposure. Broking and negotiating all risks to facility market panel of Underwriters and negotiating terms. Formulate terms and set out by management. You will produce debit/credit notes, insurance documentation (Certificates, Endorsements, Quotes, Application Forms and Pictures) and process premiums on the in-house systems. Other duties will include establishing and maintaining key relationships with markets and selected brokers and liaising extensively with agents and underwriters What you'll need to succeed Your previous experience within a similar role placing International Property risks (ideally Caribbean or CAT prone areas would be desirable). you will have at least 1 to 2 years' work experience in the Property insurance industry as a broker or underwriter or have practice of working within the Lloyd's Market Place: in either Underwriting or Broking capacity. You will be a team worker with the ability to work on your own initiative with a professional approach to relationships and who takes pride in the quality of their work and is self-motivated. You will have a confident attitude and be a keen learner who is not afraid to ask questions. This is a 12 month Maternity cover role.
