Overview
Senior Project Manager (Oracle R12) - Birmingham - 6 months My client is an established Rail company who has an exciting opportunity available for a Project Manager to join an initial 6 months contract out of their Birmingham offices. Ultimately, as a Project Manager you will plan, direct and coordinate activities to manage and implement projects from initiation to final operational stage, early life support and project closure. The purpose of the role is lead the project team in determining business requirements and translating requirements into plans. In doing so, you will ensure effective, timely and appropriate IT solutions are developed to fulfill the business requirements. DUTIES: Plan, control and manage the delivery of a project Ensure that all projects are appropriately planned as per guidance from the PMO Conduct regular reviews and reports progress against the project budget and plan Define and monitor all aspects of finance within a project Monitor and control resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget Manage suppliers and other functions to ensure effective delivery of projects Documents key processes within area of responsibility in a clear and concise way Actively identifies risks and escalates upwards to ensure appropriate risk mitigation Coach and mentor other team members as appropriate SKILLS: Proven Project Manager delivering a number of IT projects within a multi-divisional business Skilled in Oracle R12 ERP implementations including managing SI or technical configuration teams Skilled in working collaboratively with a SI Understanding of working with finance, project and procurement processes Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling project workstreams Developing change impact assessments working with business stakeholders and technical teams Strong Senior Stakeholder management skills Demonstrable team working skills with a collaborative approach Customer and delivery focused, meeting and exceeding expectations If interested and you match the criteria above, please send your CV in the first instance for immediate consideration.
