Overview

Property, Energy & Marine Claims Manager London Up to £90,000 We are currently recruiting for a Property, Energy & Marine Claims Manager on behalf of our client, a highly respected and well known Lloyd's / London market insurer. The purpose of the role is to lead a team of claims professionals across the Property & Energy unit, building the portfolio by delivering excellent service, offering insight and minimising leakage. Responsibilities Leading and directing the work activities, with full management responsibility for the performance and development of subordinate staff across the Property and Energy unit. Contributing to organisational profitability by ensuring that claims are effectively managed in accordance with external and company guidelines and standards. Effectively managing loss costs and all associated claim expenses. Leading on strategic business relationships across the Property and Energy unit, with clients, agents and brokers, in support of new business, retention and cross-sell goals. Collaborating with internal business partners to ensure implementation of business strategies; regularly communicating with senior management and internal business partners regarding progress. Managing expenses and controlling resources to ensure successful operations for the business unit, operating within established budget, productivity and efficiency standards. Leveraging system capabilities, data and metrics/reports to analyse trends and improve organisational and process performance. Reviewing and directing the application of claims policies, guidelines, insurance laws and regulations by direct reports and team members. Participating with senior leadership team in the development and implementation of claim policies, business strategies and goals. Representing company in industry trade groups as needed. Leading on and collaborating with the Claims Leadership team in the creation and ownership of Claim Proposition materials. Requirements Previous experience in a Claims Management role within the Lloyd's / London Market is essential. Ability to identify, lead, coach, develop and retain talented claim professionals. Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with all levels of internal and external business partners, possessing excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Advanced technical and business management acumen, investigation and claims resolution skills, knowledge of insurance and claims principles, practices and procedures. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and teams. Demonstrates the knowledge and understanding of when and how to use metrics to make informed business decisions.
