So you've made it to PR Account Director, but do you feel like you're being valued? As Account Director you know that no two accounts are the same, and of course, it's not going to be any different with this agency, you will be expected to be a source of new ideas and propositions for your clients and whether there's a board director with a working interest in the account, it will be you who will be their preferred partner, because they will trust you implicitly with their business. You're going to be managing a team and will be the go-to person for Account Managers and other members of the team, managing workloads and keeping a keen eye on stress levels ensuring everyone is performing at their best level and is supported. You won't be 'hands-off' either in terms of the day to day job and will be keen to continue to nurture your already superb journalist end editorial contacts, but you will need to be networking and playing a part in bringing in new business, so those contacts may well expand to areas outside of the media. What we're looking for We're looking for an agency experienced PR Account Director with proof of management skills, and who is full of ambition for themselves and their team. Sector experience should be varied , but there is a possibility of being able to fit experience to clients, so if your experience is in one sector please don't let that put you off. You'll be a relationship builder and will be happy to not only work for your clients, but to make your mark on the industry in other ways, perhaps through education or community associations.
