Overview
My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Drainage, Civil and Structural Engineering, is searching for a Senior Civil Engineer to join an established team of Flood Risk and Drainage specialists based in Glasgow. It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 2 and 3, Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water Drainage Strategy and Residential Drainage Designs using Microdrainage. It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience using Civils 3D. This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced Engineers to work on varied Flood Risk, Surface Water and Drainage Projects for Private Sector Clients, Water Companies and Local Authorities for Residential, Commercial and Historical Projects. You will also have the opportunity to manage varied projects for a variety of public and private sector clients, check technical drawings and mentor team members. Applicants will also be supported to complete the following; -Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3. -Surface Water Management Plans. -Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategy. -Detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD and Microdrainage for S104 and S106. -Drainage Area Planning.
