Overview
Systems Manager - Insurance Applications My global Insurance client is looking for a key Management level hire who will be responsible for the management of production support and enhancements to their business critical Insurance applications. Working closely with technical leads, developers and support teams, you will make sure all applications are running and working to their highest efficiency. Responsibilities:- Manage the IT teams supporting the critical business systems in the application portfolio Extensive communication with insurance business users to manage production incidents and prioritise the response of the team in line with the business and technical requirements Continuously assess the workload of the support team and manage delivery Liaise with the IT services teams in the Global Data Centre to manage technical issues, testing and the release of production fixes Support the IT leadership team in achieving key management objectives in terms of information security, audit and compliance and financial control Manage and mitigate project risks Communicate project deliveries to the business and key stakeholders Act as conduit for the team to communicate the aims, goals and objectives of the team to the business and in turn capture the needs and requirements of the business to communicate to the team Manage the Annual development & maintenance budgets Deliver accurate status reports containing development progress, upcoming milestones, changes to milestones, issues, risks & financial status, on a regular & ad-hoc basis as required Skills Required:- Significant technical expertise Experience of working within the Insurance domain and insurance applications An understanding of Claims business processing Experience of working with and managing outsourcing providers with an on/offshore model Working knowledge of formal project management methodologies Excellent communication and soft skills, combined with the ability to impart technical knowledge Organised, driven delivery focused and attention to detail Expertise in understanding and communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience If you thrive on managing relationships within an enterprise portfolio capacity, we would like to hear from you.
