Transport Team Manager Sittingbourne, Kent c£36,000 benefits. Our client is a well known retailer, in which you will be operating in a large scale operation, where you will have the support of a fantastic team. Shift pattern is any 5 from 7, shift patterns typically starting at 1:30pm. The Role: Reports in to the Transport Manager, whilst managing a team of up to 40 drivers. To ensure the efficient management of all transport labour and assets To deliver agreed transport productivity levels and other department KPIs To ensure that stores receive deliveries on time and to provide the stores and provide Senior Managers with accurate timely information when required To ensure that equipment is available for servicing/MOT at the required times and other O Licence obligations are met To seek to introduce new ideas into the operation that will enhance daily performance The Person: Be reliable and self motivated Be apersonable manager as the site is trying to improve staff retention Demonstrate excellent communication skills Possess good organisational skills. Have the ability to work on your own initiative in order to meet tight deadlines in line with company procedures. Hold a CPC.
