JOB TITLE: CMM Inspection LOCATION: Lymington SALARY: Excellent rates of pay plus shift allowance and paid weekly HOURS: Night shift Mon-Thurs from 6pm to 7am with possibility of some flexibility COMPANY BENEFITS: Life Insurance Parking 26 days holiday plus bank holidays (34 days paid holiday) Pension Childcare and cycle schemes Discounted Health Insurance Location within 5 minutes’ walk of the train station, so could commute from Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton, Portsmouth and Isle of White. SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF THE CMM Inspection JOB: To ensure components are inspected to drawing tolerance and specifications, efficiently and accurately as required by internal and external customer specifications. • Ensuring robust inspection practices and techniques are employed in an efficient manner for all customer product • Ensuring all quality related matters raised at Final Inspection, are raised to the Quality Assurance or Engineering Team for resolution as an urgent priority. • Maintaining a high-Quality standard of acceptance at ALL times for ALL customers to drawing and specification requirements • Trainer and mentor for inspection personnel • Maintaining a QUALITY FIRST outlook on all inspection activities and decisions made. Duties and responsibilities of the CMM Inspection: • Inspect parts, cmm or manual methods • Write or amend cmm programmes • Understanding of complex component geometries • Strong skills in drawing interpretation • Strong manual inspection capabilities • Ensuring all documentation and reports are maintained and completed accurately and efficiently • Maintain acceptance requirements of products to ensure product can be delivered direct to customer Right First Time, every time. • Ensuring good housekeeping is disciplined. Qualifications of the CMM Inspection: • A good level of education to undertake role • Full apprenticeship/time served in machining, or relevant skills applicable to the role is desirable • Previous experience in a similar role Working knowledge of Mitutoyo or PC-DMIS, or proficient in alternate controls software to create basic programmes for inspection of simple features and dimensions including dimensional relationships of features. • Strong skills in drawing interpretation • PC skills – Microsoft office suite Personal Skills / Attributes of the CMM Inspection: • Demonstrating a commitment to quality in all communication and practices to motivate and influence greater quality awareness and responsibility by all. • Never compromising Quality over Delivery. • Understanding CMM Best practice techniques • Competence in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint • Storage of files and housekeeping of systems • Willing to carry out a variety of duties • Motivated and a self-starter able to work on own initiative • Able to communicate in oral and written formats at all levels • Able to work in a team environment or alone • Work to a high standard of accuracy • An organised and flexible approach to work • Ability to effectively manage time to ensure activities are completed within deadlines • Liaise confidently with employees and customers at all levels • To have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the confidence and ability to present to groups from all disciplines and levels • To be able to take the initiative and where appropriate to work with the minimum of supervision.
