Overview

A cutting-edge biotech based in Stevenage are recruiting for a CMMS Implementation Project Engineer to facilitate the implementation of their Computerised Maintenance Management System. To ensure all test plans are correctly executed and documented, including new systems being implemented at their cutting-edge site. The company are a leading the way in the commercialisation of life changing therapies, taking these through the commercialisation process using their expertise and cutting-edge services. The role of Project Engineer is to facilitate the implementation of the Computerised Maintenance System CMMS for their state of the art manufacturing facility. You will take responsibility for all aspects of assigned projects to deliver the objectives in line with the agreed objectives, scope, budget and programme. In this role you will have influence in the designing of the programmes by working with the relevant internal and external stakeholders. With a focus on providing technical expertise to develop an achievable implementation plan. You will work with key stakeholders to develop a common task description and completion intervals to make them uniform across the account. Going forwards you will build tree structures to manage assets with the aim to achieve predictive maintenance, alongside identifying systems deficiencies to then implement programs to mitigate these issues. Working to develop common systems such as abbreviations for equipment & systems, naming, instructions for operations. Plus develop inventory and control programmes and purchasing policies for example so that these are implemented and administered consistently in line with procedures in the CMMS systems. This is an excellent role where you will have influence into how projects run with the chance to bring your own expertise to ensure responsibilities are completed to the highest standards and develop your career. Desired Skills and Experience: You will need to experience of implementing CMMS systems in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably within the pharma or biotech sectors but other highly regulated sectors are also suitable. You will need to have a minimum of NVQ level 3 with a relevant engineering qualification HND, HNC or C&G for example. With the ability to manage projects and experience of working in collaborative with multiple stakeholders previously. Please note this is a fixed term contract role for 12 months (with potential to extend) The Company: The company are a centre of excellence that is at the forefront of creating a viable and sustainable cell and gene therapy industry. Their headquarters are in central London where they have built a leading multidisciplinary team that has the ability to take a therapy from concept through the development cycle to the market. They collaborate with both academia and industry and they are able to provide the scientific, clinical and commercial expertise needed to overcome the challenges that hinder the commercialisation of these fast developing, cutting edge technologies. They have constructed a purpose-built manufacturing centre which opened at the end of 2017 and immediately after opening additional funding was allocated for the centre to be doubled in size due to the demand for their services. This currently consists of 12 (of which 6 very recently completed) clean room suites out for collaborators to use to manufacture advanced therapies for use in clinical trials.
