PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To provide shop support of CMM inspection on daily basis for the parts waiting for salvage / over checks / Proof Inspection Job Summary: * Daily Check of parts marked for Salvage / over checks / Proof Inspection in MRB area (FSF) * Thoroughly understand the requirement of the checks to be done (Ask the part owners if in doubt) * Seek the priority from Part owners / Shift Supervisors * Check the CMM machine availability for relevant work from Supervisors / Inspectors * Make use of a copy of Production program if available to check the parts for salvage * If need be write ad-hoc programs to inspect the parts (Ideally short programs) * Pass the results to the inspectors / Part owners and close the loop of the task * Seek the help from CMM Programmers in case of complex task Technical Competencies and Skills: * Good knowledge on various manufacturing processes * Fully conversant reading engineering & manufacturing drawings * Should have hands on experience in metrology (Measurement by First Principles) * Sound knowledge interpreting the GD&T (standards ASME Y 14.5, JES 161) * Sound knowledge in measurements system analysis (MSA) * Hands on experience in using all types of Measuring & Testing equipment, both contact - non-contact, analogue & digital * Able to support root cause analysis and implementation of problem solving techniques * Working knowledge on concessions, containment procedures and traceability techniques will be added advantage * Awareness of aerospace quality requirements (AS9100, various ISO) Personal Attributes: * Good Communication & Interpersonal skills * Customer Focus * Organizational Agility * Problem solving ability * Proactive * Logical Thinking * Effective Time management * Result driven
