We have a really exciting opportunity for a driven and motivated graduate to kick start their career in the shipping industry as a chartering assistant. Our client offer a world-wide service with a fleet of dry-cargo vessels. Over the years they have developed good working relationships with many of the global steel producers and traders. With a liner business based in London HQ, our client is supported by a network of branches in Shanghai and Xiame and Subsidiaries based in Bangalore and Chennai. Brief summary of job responsibilities… Helping to look for vessels/cargoes Preparing list of tonnage Negotiation of fixtures Review and issuance of c/p Some of the post fixture and operations matters, including helping to follow cargo claims. This permanent position would suit a motivated graduate with a qualifcation/degree related to Maritime and Shipping.
