Financial Accountant (12-month FTC) Our client is a global healthcare leader that helps people live more fully at all stages of life. The Financial Accountant will be within the Corporate Financial Services division and will have specific responsibility for ADC finance related tasks. The role will also involve wider accounting and tax responsibilities as required. Whilst based in Solihull, offsite travel will be required for 2-days a week so the right candidate must hold a full driving license. Responsibilities Prepare the workings required for the R&D claim associated with the Corporation Tax return of ADC - to ensure that the submission date can be met and that the workings are accurate and supportable. Prepare and respond accurately and in a timely manner to Corporate Tax requests for details of the P&L Split of ADC and be able to respond to queries accordingly. Other ADC CFS responsibilities to include - a suitable understanding to allow for coordination of statutory accounts, internal audit, and cadency, as well as CAR reporting completion and F.5.0 support. Provide support to the Controller in the preparation and filing of Statutory Financial Statements and dealing with associated external audit requests. Provide support to the Controller in the preparation and filing of Corporation tax returns and assisting with Corporation tax enquires. To provide support to the Controller in the area of VAT returns, Intrastat reporting and responding to VAT enquiries. To undertake specific tasks within the wider group of companies - details to be provided. Assist in projects and activities as defined by the Affiliate Finance Director. Ideal Candidate Qualified accountant - ACA or ACCA Good understanding of Corporation Tax, Statutory Accounting & VAT Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical accounting and taxation issues in straightforward language to both Financial and non-Financial managers. Working knowledge and understanding of Symphony SAP a bonus. Previous audit experience would be useful. Driving license and willingness to work in Witney 1-2 days per week.
