Overview

Rental Operations Assistant – Belvedere Clemence Rogers are currently working in partnership with our client in the recruitment of an experienced Rental Operations Assistant to join an established Vehicle Rental and Contract Hire business to provide efficient allocation and provision of rental ready vehicles which are compliant, free from damage and which are clean. Tasks are to include the preparation of compliance packs for customers, confirming bookings and maximising rental vehicle utilisation and minimise customer turndowns. The successful candidate will join a close-knit team and everyone is expected to make decisions to increase customer satisfaction, fleet productivity and to reduce operational costs. Key tasks are to include: • Verifying vehicle availability, updating reservation systems, confirming bookings and assisting with planning our delivery driver team. Extending and closing rental agreements. • Apply a commercial a methodical approach to all customer communications • Monitoring damage management and vehicle turnaround • Ensuring correct billing and allocation of additional charges. Notifying customers of damage and following the rechargeable damage process. • Collating compliance materials and rental packs for customers. • Raising rental and contract hire invoices for billing. Regular liaison with our Credit and Finance Departments. • Liaising with maintenance and sales teams to ensure swift action is taken and expectations and managed. • Provide cover for the office during busy times and occasionally other locations. This would be the ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their business skills and understanding of the commercial vehicle industry with a hand-on approach. The successfully candidate will have the opportunity to experience all facets of our business with the aim of developing their career in Rental, Maintenance or Sales. Essential Qualifications: • Experience in a front line and fast-paced customer service environment • Experience in working within commercial vehicle sector (rental ideally) • Good standard numeracy, literacy and verbal communication • IT literacy including: Fleet/database systems, CRM and Email systems and MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint • Full UK Driving Licence Desirable Qualifications: • Two A-levels and at least three GCSEs (must include mathematics and English) at a minimum grade C (or equivalent) • Experience • Practical experience of working with various teams and satisfying customer needs. • Worked in a fast paced, service driven environment • Worked within a vehicle rental business would be advantageous At Clemence Rogers your right to privacy is important to us.
