Support workers needed C4-CARE have a very exciting opportunity in the Nuneaton If you looking for extra work or a complete new job this could be what you’re looking for. We are working close with a case management company to supply staff to a young girl of 14 years’ old who has profound learning disabilities. We are looking for someone to work a minimum of 2 shifts a week to start with. The hourly rate is as follows · Monday to Friday - £10.50 · Monday to Friday night shift - £11.50 · Saturday all day and night - £11.50 · Sunday all day and night - £13.00 What we need from you · To work with the client in their home and local community · You are required to work under the direction of the case manager and the client’s parents to provide personal care, therapeutic activities and support for the client. · You will be required to work with the client on a one-one basis, following the support worker instructions provided by the case manager and treating therapists to provide care, play and support for the client · Your role is to promote a positive routine and structure for the client. · Your role will involve prompting and encouraging play and sensory activities · You will be expected to work flexible hours · To use a laptop to complete written support worker notes on a daily basis. · To develop and maintain effective communication with the client, their family, other support workers and any other relevant agencies. · To attend training in relevant areas. what is expected of you · To be able to work on a one to one basis, with the client while being aware that you are part of a team and working within a family unit. Accrued holidays · To use the hoist and other equipment after training. · To work with the client or her siblings at the direction of the parent depending on need and as agreed with the case manager. · To be able to follow instructions/guidelines from the case manager. · To be versatile in approach and to be observant and able to act on initiative · To be aware of the responsibilities of caring for and parenting children. · To be able to drive the client’s vehicle. · To keep the rooms that the client uses, and her equipment clean and tidy.
