Overview

We are looking for a passionate and committed chef de partie to join our clients stunning country house hotel in Malton, North Yorkshire. The establishment has a fantastic reputation as a destination hotel which nestles in the market town of Malton. There is a strong emphasis on producing modern British cuisine and using ingredients sourced as locally as possible and always in keeping with the seasons. The large, modern kitchen is well equipped to deal with the high level of conference and banqueting as well as a strong trade from both the restaurant and the more informal brasserie option for dining guests. This is a great opportunity for a chef to develop their skills and work as part of a passionate team to further develop the business. The average working week will be around 45 hours which spans 4 days over 7. There is also live in accommodation for the right candidate. Candidate Role: · Assume overall charge of the busy food operation within the establishment in the absence of the head chef and sous chef · Liaise with senior management on all matters regarding food service and maintaining standards · Develop junior members of the team · Report directly to the head chef · Uphold all health and safety legislation in accordance with EHO · Assist to Create seasonally inspired menus alongside the senior team · Have a keen eye for details and maintaining food standards Candidate Specification: · Experience within fresh food restaurants and hotels is essential · A strong, proven Demi chef de partie would be considered · Must have worked to a good standard · Have strong experience working on conference and banqueting to a good level · Have excellent management skills · Have great communication skills in all levels · Be able to lead and manage a busy kitchen Company Benefits · Competitive salary · Tips package · Live in available · 4 days over 7 · Kitchen Gardens In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
