Overview
As you may be aware with the ongoing issue surrounding COVID-19, there is a need for Unqualified Support Workers to do shift based work at Care Homes, Safeguarding centres etc. A Local Authority in Nottingham are in urgent need for Support Workers on the basis that they meet the requirements specified below: Main Duties and Responsibilities: Fostering of people’s equality, diversity and rights and assist in ensuring the provision of a culturally appropriate service Promotion of effective communication and relationships Promotion, monitoring and maintenance of health, safety and security in the workplace Contribution to the protection of individuals from abuse Enablement of service users to maintain their personal hygiene and appearance Enablement of individuals to access and use toilet facilities, or otherwise assist with the management of their continence care Enablement of individuals to access food and drink Support individuals with eating and drinking where necessary and appropriate Contribution to the ongoing assessment process Enablement of individuals to manage their domestic and personal resources, assisting where necessary and appropriate Contribution to the movement and handling of individuals to maximise their ability to achieve physical comfort and independence (including the use of mechanical equipment) Enablement of individuals to maintain and improve mobility through exercise and the use of mobility appliances Support individuals when they are distressed Promotion of communication with those who do not use a recognised language format Management of information appropriately, maintaining confidentiality and observing data protection legislation Contribution to the effectiveness of multi-disciplinary working Requirements: Previous experience of Support Work or care will be beneficial Pre-screen questions passed over the phone Enhanced DBS on the update service. Right to work documents and references covered from the last 5 years Essential online training completed (this will be emailed to you to) Full UK Driving License The hourly pay rate for this role is £8.21 per hour and is likely to increase after a certain period of time.
