Position:Bid Writer / Lead Location:Kettering Type:Permanent Job Profile:Working as part of a national team, the Bid Lead will have primary responsibility for writing and coordinating high quality submissions that support national and regional growth targets alongside business retention. The Bid Lead is responsible for supporting growth through developing positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and customers of the bid writing function. They will understand the context of their customers' needs and respond accordingly. The role will primarily focus on business within their Region, however there will be a requirement to collaborate with the Bid Leads in other Regions to proactively ensure that work is shared across all Regions in the event of periods of low or high activity. Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications: It is essential that you have previous experience within a Bid Writing role along with proof reading skills. You will need to have excellent IT Skills. You will be someone who has excellent project management skills, that can communicate on all levels, both written and verbally. It is essential you can work under pressure, challenge decisions with reasoning and meet deadlines and you will need to be able to multitask, adapting with changes in the workflow as and when required. Ability to implement effective tendering processes and systems, along with having the ability to produce reports. Job Description:Project lead and manage the bid process from beginning to end. Working with the Business Development Managers, take a proactive lead in coordinating the workload through agreed protocols within the bid team, managing capacity and prioritising tenders accordingly. Work with the Business Development Managers, Project Managers, and operational colleagues to effectively lead and co-ordinate the production process of submissions. Produce high quality, well-structured and detail-tailored responses to submissions, ensuring timely consultation and positive engagement with relevant internal stakeholders to inform the process. Contribute to the development of systems for tenders and supporting templates, whilst understanding the need for tailored responses on each submission. Monitor and report on the behaviour of commissioning strategies and contribute to the development of a tendering responses for existing and new markets based on identified trends. Evaluate and filter opportunities to ensure alignment with plans. Salary:Up to £34,000 per annum.
