SENIOR LITIGATOR PURPOSE OF SENIOR LITIGATOR Our Litigator will play a fundamental role in the claims process, handling portal non-RTA drop-out and litigated cases. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise enabling key decisions to be made on case progression and key actions to be taken pre and post issue. This is a home based position, with the requirement to travel to our Kettering office once a month. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS SENIOR LITIGATOR * Support the next step in the claims process by taking ownership of all non-RTA portal drop-out cases and RTA multi track cases * Evaluate cases, concluding how to proceed and progress as swiftly as possible * Utilise your knowledge to settle claims where quantum has not been agreed during earlier stages of proceedings * Review all disclosure documents * Draft and subsequently handle all pre-action-disclosure applications * Prepare cases for issue * Submit all applications and complete all reviews promptly and accurately, in line with operational KPIs * Draft particulars of claim and all other documentation required for case progression, professionally and accurately * Understand process for fast track and multi track claims, being able to maximise revenue dependant on track * Have the ability to meet strict Court deadlines * Be well versed with CPR rules and relevant case law * Have strong technical knowledge of the litigation process * Be responsible for the instructing of Counsel or experts * Personalise every interaction with the consumer, ensuring empathy and understanding are expressed at all times * Listen and assess the consumer's case, supporting them through the latter stages of their claim * Retain consumer engagement through the provision of informed advice, demonstrating technical know-how * Work individually and as part of a team to meet and exceed targets SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO BE SENIOR LITIGATOR * Experience of handling non-portal claims from either a Claimant or Defendant perspective * Ability to handle a mixed case-load of denied and admitted claims * Proven ability to handle own case-load, adhering to strict SLAs * Experience of managing risk to make commercially sound decisions * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Experience of analysing and interpret information to make decisions * Strong IT competence * Excellent customer service skills PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES * Confident and capable decision maker * Attention to detail * Analytically minded * Driven for the right result * Passionate * Curious * Unified
