Expert Witness Business Manager

ROLE PURPOSE OF EXPERT WITNESS BUSINESS MANAGER The objective of the role is to support the Head of Expert Witness with day to day operations of the service. You will manage the flow of work, deal with queries from instruction and reports. You will respond to queries from the Expert Witnesses directly, supporting them with their work as required. In addition to this, it will be the responsibility of this role to manage the Quality Assurance Team as well as providing quality assurance of reports. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS EXPERT WITNESS BUSINESS MANAGER * Provide daily support to Quality Assurance Team including managing cover and inputting to Quality assurance * Work with Head of Quality Assurance to ensure the service maintains quality and governance across the service * Be the initial contact for complaints and complements relating to Expert Witness * Manage the monthly Expert Witness induction * Organise Expert Witness training programmes and support preparation for regional meetings * Support Head of Expert Witness with the identification and recruitment of new Expert Witnesses * Always ensure smooth delivery of service * Produce monthly customer management information reporting * Support Finance team with debt management and invoice queries * Support Head of Expert Witness with month end invoices * Provide advice to the Business Services Team regarding enquiries and work with Team Leader to ensure targets are achieved * Provide advice to the Reports Team with production of official reports * provide professional feedback to Expert Witnesses ensuring consistency and ongoing quality SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Essential * Knowledge of Expert Witness responsibilities, duties and reports * Understanding of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence legal claims * Experience of stakeholder management * Excellent Customer Service delivery skills Desirable * Clinical or Legal background * Experience of working in an Operations role * People management skills * Expert Witness CV review and interview experience PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES * Highly organised * Attention to detail * Compassionate * Empathetic * Passionate * Driven * Curious * Unified
