Overview

I am currently recruiting a Billing Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis. This is working for a big Law Firm company based in East London close to Canary Wharf Station. Sector: Legal Client Details My client is a well-known Law Firm based in East London. They were many years ago and since have grown consistently year on year. They are now looking to hire a Billing Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis. This will be an initial temporary assignment for 6 months. The role will be based in their offices in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast paced, dynamic working environment. Description Billing Assistant, East London Roles and Duties: Monitoring and actioning requests received in the joint Billing Assistant Mailbox Day-to-day billing support of Billing Team Amending, authorising, printing bills Collating documentation to go with bills Updating information within GPMS/Incept Interacting with Partners, Fee Earners and Legal Support Staff Chase outstanding draft bills (to include outstanding timesheets) Producing periodic reports Escalation of issues/problems When required, monitoring and actioning requests received in the joint client centric mailboxes When required day-to-day billing support of the Client Centric Billing Team Amend attachments/breakdowns (transfers / time splits) as part of the billing process Prepare pre bill guides/draft invoices Amend pre bill / draft invoices Update matters from ebilling validation report Update the FAST Report Actioning Provisions Split bills for firm despatch Time/costs transfers and write offs Filing credit notes Various drop offs and pick-ups to Billers, Partners, Lawyers or LSS's Chase Partners for drafts / settled bills Viewing detail within matter financials Run WIP reports and online reports Update Primary Contact, Billing Partner, Responsible Partner, Managing Associate Update purchase order numbers, payable by info, client reference, cost numbers Profile The successful candidate MUST be immediately available and can interview / start at short notice. They must also have 2-3 years working knowledge of the roles and duties above. The role holder will have previous experience of working within a billing or revenue team, gained within a law firm. You will be able to demonstrate technical knowledge and expertise of a global professional services practice management system (Keystone, Elite, CMS or SAP), together with a sound knowledge of Excel and Word. You will have a good understanding of the financial processes that underpin billing activities, and the ability to apply these when dealing with the requirements of Billing Advisors and Coordinators, Partners and the clients with whom they work. Ideally GCSE's grade A-C including Maths or equivalent. Job Offer The successful candidate will be paid between £14-16 per hour depending on experience.
