Now is your chance… The Technical Delivery Team is a relatively newly established team that forms part of Service Delivery. The team is managed by the Technical Portfolio Manager and is now expanding to be structured as 2 Technical Delivery Managers, 3 Project Managers and 2 Business Analysts. The team manages a few distinct functions; 1) is responsible for delivery of the technical programme of projects that maintain the Banks infrastructure 2) manages a process of centralised engagement across the whole of Service Delivery, working with and providing technical support to all business line projects 3) manages the project related partnership with the Bank Managed Service Provider. The role of Technical Delivery Manager is really important to us. You will act as a technical advisor within the business by providing technical direction based on thorough analyses of the problems/opportunities/challenges. Develop realistic, workable solutions that support the customers' needs and implement them successfully. Communicating proactively with stakeholders and senior management regarding progress, issues, risks and risk mitigation steps. Work effectively to remove work silos between business and IT teams. Based in our dynamic Manchester office, you will sit amongst the Service Delivery team. What would your day look like? Creates a 'one team' working environment by building trust and rapport with both the internal customers, delivery teams and the managed services partner. Able to interpret technical requirements and assist in the creation of technical requirements. A good communicator with the ability to gain trust and respect from others, leading to positive contribution and outcomes. Attention to detail is critical with the ability to gain an understanding of dependencies between portfolios and deliverables. Must be able to articulate and discuss identified dependencies and impacts. Assist with the definition and running of process in partnership with managed service provider. Support and advise Projects with technical input to assist with the scoping and shaping of projects in line with current operational procedures. Build and maintain relationship with our managed service partners. What do we expect of you? Experience of technical delivery/technical delivery management. Technical background and experience working with/within IT or technical teams. Experience of working within business change and projects with an understating of project and delivery life cycle. Understanding of regulation within the financial services industry. The ability to interpret technical jargon and communicate an understanding to business stakeholders. Experience in chairing meetings and facilitating teams sourced from multiple departments/disciplines. What can you expect of us?
