Overview
Are you either recently AAT Qualified or in the latter stages of the AAT and looking to start the ACCA in a very good quality, Top 10 international practice firm based in a prime location in the City? Are you looking to receive study support for your remaining AAT level 4 exams and then the ACCA, excellent training, progression, a friendly and sociable working environment plus exposure to larger and more high profile clients? Are you keen to be trained so that you can work with and advise a wide range of businesses, including large listed companies, groups and high growth entrepreneurial clients? Are you keen to work in sectors such as media, entertainment, oil and gas, technology, property and financial services? Based in the outsourcing and business services department, your role will be varied, enjoyable and challenging. You will be fully trained so that you can prepare both statutory accounts and management accounts for a wide range of businesses, as well as Vat returns, bookkeeping assignments and ad hoc assignments and advisory reports. The firm uses modern cloud based software such as Xero, Quickbooks Online and Sage One. To be considered for this newly created role it is likely you will be studying for AAT level 4 or a recently qualified AAT and looking to start the ACCA in the future or have taken no more than the first 3 ACCA papers. You will be operating as an Accounts Assistant or Accounts Semi Senior in a good quality practice firm and be looking to step up to a larger firm. It is likely you will have a minimum of 2 years experience. You must ideally have started to prepare statutory accounts and / or management accounts although training will be provided if not. Ideally you will be able to prepare Vat returns and carry out bookkeeping assignments from start to finish. It would be an advantage if you had experience of a wide range of software packages including Xero, Sage and Quickbooks. It is also vital that you are well presented, well spoken and professional as this is a client facing position. It is also desirable that you have strong GCSE grades including a B grade in Maths and English, plus A levels or equivalent. This growing Top 10 international accountancy firm has a great reputation for being a friendly and supportive place to work and providing their staff with challenging and varied roles. You will work in a large and well established business services team of almost 20 staff, with set procedures in place to ensures all trainees receive excellent support whilst they are training and learning. The department is growing at a rapid rate due to many new business wins from larger accountancy firms and they have very ambitious growth plans for the next few years.
