Overview

A market leading company is offering an exciting opportunity for a newly / recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) to join their rapidly growing business, in a newly created role. As part of the senior management team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and insightful management information and project support. You will also be actively involved with improving the reporting process and for overseeing the balance sheet and statutory accounts preparation. Duties will include: Monthly management accounts preparation Budgeting and forecasting Balance sheet reconciliations VAT returns, UK and overseas Year-end audits Preparation of statutory accounts Maintenance of Fixed Asset register Foreign exchange revaluations IFRS calculations Corporation tax computations Ad hoc project work Weekly flash results Management of a small finance team The successful candidate will be newly / recently qualified (ACA, ACCA) with advanced Excel skills. You will ideally be practice trained and looking for your first or second move in industry. You must be able to demonstrate strong technical accounting skills (IFRS/UK GAAP) and be able to communicate confidently with senior stakeholders. You will be enthusiastic, approachable and thrive under pressure. You will be a pro-active team player, who is passionate about getting it right first time.
