Overview
Our client, based in Cardiff Bay, is currently recruiting a Head of IT for their growing tech department. Roles and Responsibilities Manage the current technology infrastructure to ensure that it is reliable, optimised and fit for purpose. Create accurate and sustainable documentation to support the technology. Recommend, plan and implement modifications to existing infrastructure and systems. Recommend new IT systems, processes and procedures that offer value for money and/or significant benefit to the organisation. Implement and adhere to strong governance & best practice. Develop, roll out and ensure adherence to IT related processes and standards. Ensure access to and security of IT systems. Monitor and address areas for improvement. Ensure appropriate infrastructure resilience, backup and recovery are in place. Maintain and test business continuity & disaster recovery procedures, documentation and capabilities. Manage and co-ordinate the delivery of all IT projects Contribute to the wider IT strategy for the business. Skills Degree in relevant subject such as Information Technology Experience working at senior management level within the IT sector. Experience of installing, supporting and troubleshooting: Microsoft desktop systems including Windows 7 Professional, Windows Server 2008 and 2012, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS & DHCP, Virtualized Server and Desktop environment using VMWare or Citrix Xen, physical and logical LAN and WAN networks.
