NHBC has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Commercial & Regulatory Counsel (PQE 1-4 years)to join their in-house legal function based in Milton Keynes. About the Junior Commercial & Regulatory Counsel (PQE 1-4 years) role; The role will support the Senior Commercial & Regulatory Counsel in providing legal advice and assistance to internal clients on non-contentious legal matters. With your own caseload you will take responsibility for the planning and execution of your work, in consultation with your internal clients and will ensure work is delivered in a timely and cost-effective way. Where necessary and appropriate, you will instruct external legal firms and Counsel. Non-contentious areas for which you will provide legal advice and assistance include: Commercial contracts Company law Assisting the General Counsel on ad hoc matters Skills & Attributes Admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales with between 1 - 4 years PQE (experience outside this will also be considered) Able to advise on and negotiate as required in relation to commercial contracts Commercial contracts drafting experience Good stakeholder management and client relationship skills Possesses an eye for detail as well as a commercial, pragmatic attitude Team player Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines when required Salary & Benefits £50,000 - £64,000 per annum (depending on experience).
