Quality & Health and Safety Engineer - Permanent - Sunbury-On-Thames - £35K base benefits Quality & Health and Safety Engineer - Permanent - Sunbury-On-Thames - £35K base benefits Job Purpose / Objectives: To ensure that the company’s products, services and activities meet or exceed relevant or expected standards for Quality, working within the framework of the Quality Management System. Quality: To liaise with customers ensuring that Improvement Reports are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner. To work close with different Sales, Engineering & Production teams to identify the underlying root cause and drive solutions to reduce non-conformances. To coordinate the implementation of corrective and preventative actions, ensuring all changes are correctly documented. To carry out inspections in process from goods inwards through to despatch, with emphasis in high-risk processes, to focus on process shortfall and corrective actions. To deal with suppliers and sub-contractors managing rejections and define corrective and preventive actions. To provide support to purchasing on the assessment and approval of suppliers. To control and maintain calibration of all measurement equipment, keeping appropriate records. To conduct Internal Quality Audits as required. To manage calibration processes inside the business. To support the maintenance of the company-wide accreditation to ISO9001 & IEC 80079-34, in all the relevant business areas. To provide support for external auditors and inspection bodies carrying out audits company wide. To assist the Head of Quality in generating reports for the analysis of improvement reports, non-conformances, corrective & preventative actions. Compliance Manage all HSE activities within the organisation (RoHS2, Conflict materials, REACH, HSE policies, completing customer HSE questionnaires) Fire alarm management (managing service contracts, repairs/breakdowns, key fobs, routine checks i.e emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, weekly alarm tests, fire drills, maintain fire logbook) 1st Aid / RIDDOR management (managing the accident book and KPI’s, investigate accidents and report writing for reportable incidents) Skills 3 years’ experience in a quality engineer role Experience of ISO 9001 & HSE processes (including NEBOSH, RIDDOR, Reach/RoHS)
