Overview

Quality Engineer Sunbury on Thames Up to £35,000 per annum depending on experience Expo Technologies provides customers with an unrivalled level of support for the delivery of solutions to hazardous area applications in the global market. Using the latest design technology for our design work, we have over 70 staff focused on providing creative and cost-effective solutions for our customers. An opportunity has now arisen for a Quality Engineer to join our team. Job Purpose: To ensure that the company’s products, services and activities meet or exceed relevant or expected standards for Quality, working within the framework of the Expo Technologies Quality Management System. Your duties will include Liaise with customers ensuring that Improvement Reports are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner. Work close with different Sales, Engineering & Production teams to identify the underlying root cause and drive solutions to reduce non-conformances. Coordinate the implementation of corrective and preventative actions, ensuring all changes are correctly documented. Deal with suppliers and sub-contractors managing rejections and define corrective and preventive actions. Provide support to purchasing on the assessment and approval of suppliers Control and maintain calibration of all measurement equipment, keeping appropriate records. Conduct Internal Quality Audits as required Support the maintenance of the company-wide accreditation to ISO9001 & IEC 80079-34, in all the relevant business areas. Provide support for external auditors and inspection bodies carrying out audits company wide Manage all HSE activities within the organisation (RoHS2, Conflict materials, REACH, HSE policies, completing customer HSE questionnaires Fire alarm management (managing service contracts, repairs/breakdowns, key fobs, routine checks i.e emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, weekly alarm tests, fire drills, maintain fire logbook) Maintain compliance with environmental statutory requirements Experience and abilities required: Minimum 3 years experience in a quality engineering role Experience of ISO 9001 & HSE processes (including NEBOSH, RIDDOR, Reach/RoHS) ISO9001 Internal Auditor qualification Degree equivalent work experience in an engineering or manufacturing discipline This is a permanent full time position working 37.5 hours per week. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Annual Pay Review Reviewed annually and is subject to personal performance and Cost of Living adjustments. Sick Pay After six months service, the Company will pay basic salary in full for two weeks which increases with service.
