Overview

Our client is a PE backed SaaS market leader that provides state-of-the-art cloud and AI solutions to the public sector. These solutions help public sector bodies transform and improve their services and has enabled some organisations to save as much as 40% of their budgets. The company was established ten years ago, has received £5m Series A funding to date and is enjoying >30% year on year growth. Their strategic goal is to deliver a unifying public service delivery platform that can be configured to match client's business objectives and grow with them to deliver ever-increasing value. This innovative tech firm is now looking to hire its first Finance Director. The role will be accountable for overseeing finance, planning, procurement, legal and risk. You will work closely with the CEO and Board to plan, implement, manage and control the company finances whilst monitoring risk and optimising business processes. An initial task is to professionalise finance processes and systems to ensure they are fit for growth. You will be well versed in the whole finance suite from cashflow management, budgets, forecasting, statutory reporting to compliance. You will support your peer directors in defining KPIs and coach them to use financial information to inform their decision making. You will need to establish and maintain strong relationships with investors and customers. Skills & Attributes: - Qualified accountant who has worked in a fast-paced, growing SME technology firm. A motivational people person - Hands-on business partner for sales and operations teams, for example. - Commercially able in negotiating costing/pricing of software; strong cash management skills. - Raising finance, due diligence, M&A and exit preparation. £90,000 - £100,000, bonus and equity. Our client's perfect FD will have experience of successfully scaling a PE-backed business, worked in the SaaS/software space, led an exit and have knowledge of the public sector.
