Overview
A client of mine based in Birmingham is looking to on-board a Senior Software Developer on a permanent basis. They are looking for an energetic, proactive Senior Software Developer to join their development team headquartered in Birmingham. You will be working on new greenfield projects and also be required to support and make changes to existing platforms. Key Technical Skills Python web application development in a linux environment (pref Django) C++ and PHP (LAMP/Centos/RHEL) Experience using Database Technologies (MySQL Preferable but not essential) Integration using REST APIs Good understanding of using Software Design Patterns Capable of designing new modern UI/UX websites Solid experience using software configuration management (SCM) concepts and version control systems - Preferably Git. Experience or genuine interest in Cloud services (e.g. Azure, AWS) Use of debugging and analytic tools Desirable Skills Docker CI/CD pipelines MySQL DB administration Design of infrastructure as code Experience working with card payments Test automation and load testing Big data/Analytics Telecoms - Voice/SMS communication systems Key Responsibilities Development, deployment and support of deliverables to live systems in accordance with agreed timescales Complete technical tasks to a high quality following best practice in accordance with procedures and practices, including secure coding standards, source control and development processes. Design and code review of work produced by other members of the development team.
