The successful candidate will be joining as a Senior Software Engineer and be member of a small niche development team. Undertaking code reviews, and providing evaluation and feedback on the production of work. Technical background: Operating as a Senior Software Engineer 5 years’ experience with object-oriented principals and knowledge of common design patterns such as MVC, symfony or laravel Understanding of big data and associated database challenges MySQL development, configuration and optimisation. Knowledge of front-end and back-end best practices. Experience of Unix / Linux. Object oriented design experience. Understanding with one or more scripting languages Familiarity with one or more compiled languages Consuming and developing REST APIs. Experience with source control, e.g. SVN/GIT.
