Overview
General Teaching Assistant - September 2020 - Islington A 3-form entry Primary school based in Islington; North London are looking for a General Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2020. The Teaching Assistant they are looking for will need to be an eager, committed and experienced Teaching Assistant with a minimum of a years' experience in a mainstream Primary school. You will need to have the skills to be able to settle in and adapt quickly to different year groups as this role is working in both Key stage 1 and 2. With a friendly network of both colleagues and SLT, support is always available if needed as well as the opportunity for additional training throughout the year. If you are able to demonstrate excellent performance and punctuality there is also the possibility of a fixed-term contract. Based in the centre of North London there isn't parking available however there is both train stations and bus stops located just a short walk from the school. To be successful in this role you will: -Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification. -Have a minimum of a year's experience working within Primary education. -Have experience working in both Key stage 1 and 2. - Have experience in running intervention groups. -Adapt the support required to meet the needs of individual students to positively impact on progress in learning.
