Business Analyst, Birmingham City Centre, competitive salary Your new company A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen in Birmingham working for a dynamic and technology division of a large global shipping group who are now expanding in the Birmingham area. This division consists of a fast-growing, fast-paced and innovative team; whose goal is to digitise shipping and start a much-needed innovation trend within the industry. Your new role A senior Business Analyst is required to join an expanding team to assist with and work on multiple cutting-edge web development projects whilst developing existing skills and experience within a fast-paced environment. Your role will be responsible for providing excellent analysis work relating to business requirements on both new and existing systems; working with various departments across the business from broking to finance. Alongside Business Analysis, this role will include some application support, testing and training, as well as an element of project management. What you'll need to succeed The successful candidate will have evident experience working as a Business Analyst in an applications development environment. Managing several more junior BA's and working alongside a Development team; you will demonstrate the ability to proactively communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements; serving as an effective conduit between the customer community and the software whilst also acting as the Product Owner as required. More so, you will be able to confidently engage with key stakeholders at all levels across the business and IT. To succeed in this role, you will already have experience with project management disciplines, including a strong appreciation for both waterfall and agile methodologies, and will have demonstrable experience producing project plans to lead a development team through the delivery of that project, too. Experience of using JIRA and Confluence, or Azure Dev Ops would be a distinct advantage for this role.
