Overview
Zachary Daniels is currently looking to recruit a Project Manager - IT, for one of the UK's fastest growing retailers based in The South West. The concept is simple, this multichannel retailer offers 'mid-price' home, leisure and garden products, drawing together everything that could be needed for the stylish home at affordable prices. The position of Project Manager - IT, based in the South West is simply designed to assist in the planning, executing and finalising of projects in accordance to strict deadlines and within budget, following the Agile Methodology. The Project Manager is responsible for producing product requirement documents for in-house software development, whilst also liaising with third party suppliers to produce achievable project plans. Key responsibilities in the position of Project Manager - IT for our client based in the South West will include: Contribute to project kick off meetings by producing the required project requirements document for sign off by the relevant stakeholders. Scheduling the timings of the project as well as a proposed start date Managing the project from start to finish and effectively engaging and influencing the relevant key stakeholders Assistance with testing of changes and implementation of these into the live environment Produce project updates as the project requires Build and maintain effective relationships cross functionally Monitor all project documentation for completeness, accuracy and for version control Respond to queries from various sources in a timely manner regarding the project Act as a single point of contact for all assigned projects Maintaining and ensuring an effective and efficient office environment Ensure a thorough understanding of all elements of the Project Team to provide an effective and informed service to colleagues and customers Deputise for the Lead Project Manager when required It goes without saying that the successful candidate will hold the relevant experience and skill set including: Good knowledge and understanding of structured project management methods Understanding of the Agile Methodology Strong organisational skills Keen eye for detail Customer service focused Ability to work well within a team and confidently as in individual Knowledge of MS Office Suite incl MS Project and MS Visio Ability to host meetings and conference calls as required Document Management Skills Influencing and Negotiating Skills Understanding of IT systems and project methodologies such as Agile Exposure to a software development environment Exposure to an infrastructure environment To find out more please apply today
