Overview
Our client is a leading bridging lender located in the Westend. Due to natural business expansion, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Underwriter who can manage the whole loan process from application stages through to completion. As an Underwriter, you will have a strong credit background with in depth knowledge and experience of both AML and anti-fraud systems. This is the ideal opportunity for someone with a great commercial understanding of the industry and a key team player who is extremely analytical, focused and can self-manage and prioritise heavy work-loads. The Role: Underwriting of short-term loan applications in line with credit policy, procedure and company SLA's Detailed review and assessment of applicant credit profile, valuation reports and legal considerations as well as management of the application through to completion Liaise with both introducing partied and direct clients in order to process loan applications Review all transactions in line with MCOB, adhering to AML checks and fraud assessment protocol Provide updates to line managers regarding case pipeline About you: Understanding of the short-term lending, bridging and development sector Strong assessment of risk across, property, application and exit route Strong communication skills Experience in dealing with high volume workloads
