The opportunity is with UK / European Property Facilities, a market leading 100m+ per annum team operating in the non standard homeowners and UK small commercial delegated authority area. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Support the underwriting team and management in the preparation and analysis of data with respect to individual binding authorities as well across the overall unit's account * Work with underwriting and actuarial colleagues in the preparation and analysis of pricing templates * Assist underwriters in maintaining beneficial working relationships with brokers and clients to develop the business in accordance with the business plan. * To assist the Unit Head in all aspects of the Unit's accounts as directed, including working on the preparation of Unit Business Plan * To assist in the collation of data / information for Conduct Risk or any relevant project. * Maintain, where appropriate, office files and systems. * For monthly Unit meetings action the following: oAssist in the production of statistics. oAttend meeting. * Collate and help monitor monthly risk and premium bordereau figures to ensure accuracy and completeness * Assist with the collation of all relevant information required for any internal / external audits. * Use formal reporting mechanisms to promptly notify relevant parties of any perceived new risks or failures of existing control measures. * Use formal reporting mechanisms to promptly notify relevant parties of any perceived new risks or failures of existing control measures. * All Employees must endeavour to provide accurate, complete and appropriate data, in accordance with Axis's Data Policy, as part of their roles and responsibilities at all times * Act in a way that pays due regards to the interests of customers and treats them fairly at all times. REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: * (Re)insurance experience and familiarity * Strong numerical background. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Good attention to detail * Ability to develop innovative and pragmatic solutions to problems. * Ability to work occasional extended hours and to work to deadlines * Willingness to take on additional responsibility / work. * Team player - the role involves working with a variety of professionals including management, underwriters, actuaries, catastrophe modellers, claims and delegated authority administrators. Whilst the role is mostly internal, the right candidate will also be capable of interacting with brokers and MGA clients OTHER DESIRED SKILLS & CHARACTERISTICS: * Knowledge of Lloyd's market * Some experience with catastrophe modelling software, particularly AIR * Knowledge of UK small commercial and non standard homeowners an advantage, but not a prerequisite
