Roles & Responsibilities Responsible for Cloud Consulting (client briefing, solution workshops, technical POCs, refined tech-architecture) during the pre-SOW phase. Contribute to the strategic direction of Cloud Consulting practice & demonstrate thought leadership in interaction with clients & partners. Hiring for Cloud Engineering talent to build a high performance A team. Work closely with Global Delivery Centres (GDCs) to contribute and share cloud engineering best practices and learnings with other markets. Desired Skills & Experience: Hands on experience with Enterprise IT - Someone who is right at home with Sharepoint server farms and microservices running on self managed kubernetes clusters on VMWare. Experience in Cloud Data & Cloud Infra Engineering - migrating, optimizing & managing workloads working on at least one major public cloud platform (GCP, AWS or Azure). Experience in understanding client requirements, mapping current challenges and architecting the best solutions on public cloud that modernizes the existing infrastructure and introduces resilience and fault tolerant systems. Architect for complex security compliance requirements. Architect for scale. Write Terraform / CloudFormation / Deployment Manager scripts / templates. Understand not just the fundamentals of Web Application Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering but can authoritatively consult with the clients, and provide guidance. Understands the basics of Data. Understands how to architect and achieve HA/DR for every known RDBMS / NOSQL. Contributed back to the community. We owe a lot to the community. The hygiene stuff (Kind of must haves): Mandatory skills: AWS / GCP / Azure, Strong networking, strong fundamentals of RDBMS, NOSQL, Python/Powershell, Terraform, Kubernetes, Jenkins. Certifications, (at least 2 if not 3 of the below) Google Certified - Professional Cloud Architect Google Certified - Professional Data Engineer AWS Certified - Solutions Architect - Professional AWS Certified - DevOps Engineer - Professional Experience. DevOps experience Containers, Docker, Kubernetes (or equivalent) and using these technologies for the architecture of multi-region, load-balanced resilient microservices type platforms RedHat / Centos or Ubuntu / Debian - RHCE or equivalent desirable - Strong Linux skills are mandatory Windows Server (desirable - not mandatory) Skills, etc. Conversant in at least one software language - Python ideal Deep knowledge in one or more of the following: Ansible, Puppet or Chef Patch management (RHN Satellite, Spacewalk, yum, WSUS etc) Very good networking, VPN and firewall knowledge especially for VPC type deployments. Excellent understanding of the Non Functional Requirements (NFRs) of projects and how Platform architecture can make systems secure, resilient and performant.
