JOB DETAILS Job title: Supplies and Equipment Officer - Fleet and Fire Salary: £19,554 to £19,945 per annum Contract type: Permanent Position Working hours: 37 hours per week, flexible working available Location: Chichester Application closing date: 19th April 2020 Interview date: 29th April 2020 Job details: You will be working in a busy and dynamic team and you'll be responsible for operating a Stores function for Fire and Rescue. You will ensure items of equipment and consumables are available and dispatched in a timely way so that the wider service can remain operational. Recording and monitoring stock levels is a critical part of this role and you will assist the Procurement and Contract Manager (and wider Council Fleet Service) in tracking, managing, and maintaining a large number of varied Council assets. You will ensure the Service is properly equipped and to deliver its intervention capability. A key part of your role will be to oversee equipment throughout its lifecycle from purchase to disposal. This will include equipment acceptance, maintenance and end of life disposal. This is a hands-on role and will involve working in a Stores/Goods In-Out setting.
