Join a rapidly growing team based City Centre Birmingham who are looking for a Finance Officer to support in their AP / Cash Management functions. Fast paced, high volumes and tight deadlines. You will need to be confident in the below responsibilities as you will be working with minimum supervision so self motivation is key. Client Details Page Finance are delighted to be exclusively partnered with a fantastic Public Sector organisation who are looking for a Finance Officer (AP) to join them on a temp to perm basis. Description The Finance Officer will be responsible for the following; Supporting the delivery of accounts payable services including processing purchase order requests and supplier maintenance Ensuring compliance with the Purchase to Pay processes including delegated budget holder approvals and procurement guidance Liaise with staff, stakeholders and suppliers regarding requests and queries Coordinate receipting of goods and services to support timely payment of invoices and accurate monthly reporting Liaise with outsourced service provider to ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time Collaborate with utilities suppliers to ensure all accounts are up to date to avoid disruption to critical estates services Support continuous process efficiencies and improvements across the function, delivering maximum value and ensuring robust controls are in place Act as contact for external and internal auditors of accounts payable and associated controls Build relationships with key staff across Finance and the business in order to maintain effectiveness Profile Strong experience of accounts payable processes Systems experience - ERP software / Horizon Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy to meet customer needs Good Microsoft Office skills Ability to work in a geographically dispersed team Job Offer Up to £27,000 or hourly rate equivalent.
