About the Role: The Finance Business Partner Consumer's position combines operational and tactical roles, supporting key local business initiatives while establishing a strong financial strategy for a long-term profitable growth of the local business. * Act as a key financial support for the Consumer Business Unit, providing quality reporting and analysis leading to correct strategic and tactical decisions. * Act as a Business Partner driving the development of new business models and sales channels by building strategic insights that help drive the business strategy in the UK. * Work in close cooperation with the sales and marketing team and cross functionally to deliver results. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: * Support local management team, using a combination of data and leadership skills to provide insight and to influence decision makers. * Contribute fully to the development of local strategy across all areas of the consumer business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate, providing transparency in results and estimates and guidance on all activities (plans, targets and business drivers) * Summarise and communicate financial and operating results against objectives. Translate Consumer Business Unit financial results into actionable strategic or tactical tasks. Provide qualitative analysis including variance analysis. * Translate actual results into month FY (18 months) forecast. Deliver variance analysis between forecast versions. Deliver variance analysis between forecast versions including volume, price, mix analysis, sales operations, other COGS and SAG expenses. * Ensure compliance with financial processes as well as adherence to established corporate policies, internal controls and statutory requirements. Set the "tone at the top" through communication. * Assess and agree on the establishment of realistic and challenging financial objectives, budgets and strategic plans for the Consumer Business Unit with high level of financial forecast accuracy. * Financial lead for special projects for the Consumer Business. Partner with key members of the Consumer Business to incorporate assumptions into financial models and develop ad-hoc information. Financial lead for the Consumer Business capital expenditure financial evaluation. Ensure credit monitoring as a Consumer representative in the market and monitor risks and opportunities from a credit and cash perspective. * Close cooperation with Global Business Services in Romania and Philippines. Requirements: * Recognised accounting qualification - ACCA, CIMA, ACA. * At least two years post-qualification experience within industry. * Experience of a large international manufacturing business would be an advantage. * Experience in finance business partnering and a demonstrated understanding of sales and marketing operations. * Strong financial forensic skills, able to investigate complex financial issues within ledgers. * Strong business acumen with broad base of financial knowledge with a balanced commercial mindset. * Strong IT skills and working experience with finance IT systems from a detailed to a consolidated perspective, including the usage of Excel and the familiarity with SAP/Hyperion or ERP system. * Ability to analyse data, identify opportunities and propose solutions/alternatives in a proactive manner. * Proactive individual with a "can do" attitude who can work independently and as part of a team and who is willing to take responsibility for various projects/processes. * Excellent problem-solving skills and mentality. * High sense of urgency and ability to deal with multiple and/or conflicting priorities. * Able to interface seamlessly with the Consumer leadership team. * Courageous and willing to make decisions. * A collaborative style and the ability to influence. * Strong communication skills with an ability to listen effectively and articulate business cases. * Open minded, proactive and able to drive change. * Strong interpersonal skills ensuring the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and challenging environment with cross-functional teams and colleagues in different countries. * US GAAP experience would be helpful.
