Exciting Career Opportunity with our sister company TMS – Interim HR Advisor (c25 hours per week) We are actively recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor, to be based from our Retford depot Are you an experienced HR advisor? We carry out a wide range of temporary traffic works including high and low speed lane closures, road closures, diversion routes, warning signs, traffic light control and Stop and Go control. About the role: The role is required to provide full support to the HR Business Partner, dealing with various HR queries throughout the business. This will include conducting investigations and supporting formal processes, offering support to depot managers with matters such as disciplinaries, grievances, capability, probations and settlement discussions. You will partner with line managers to review employee relations, performance management, resourcing and staff management, attending meetings as and when required. The advisor will also be required to manage employee relation matters and ensure that all HR queries are dealt with promptly and in compliance with all policies and procedures. You will conduct the coaching and training of managers to enable them to respond to employee relation matters in the first instance. As you will be working within a new HR function you will also be required to implement and monitor HR policies and procedures to ensure that they meet employment legislation and business needs. Other key tasks will include, informing employees of rights and entitlements, keeping them up to date on any changes that are made, reviewing and updating job descriptions and providing regular and ad hoc HR MI and reports. The post is initially for 6 months on a temporary fixed term contract, with the possibility of this being extended. Ideally, we are looking for a working pattern of 20/ 25 hours per week, to be discussed at interview. The position will be based from our Retford depot; however, travel may be required to other locations. About You: A highly experienced HR advisor, with a desire to maintain and develop professional expertise within your role and will thrive making recommendations for improvements. You will have a meticulous eye to detail and are aware of the importance of confidentiality. A good multi-tasker, adept at managing priorities and achieving work to deadlines. Able to hold your nerve and humour, in often very busy times, you will bring energy, enthusiasm and professionalism.
