Overview

Shipping / Export Administrator required for my client, an industry leader in the manufacture of fast moving consumer goods. The main responsibility of the Shipping / Export Administrator is to arrange shipments to & from global and UK locations (origin & destination) for the equipment, spares and consumables to internal & external customers, dealers, agents & partners. Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Shipping / Export Administrator: Responsible for the export, import & transport lifecycle of shipments (start to finish). Work with current vendors to ensure goods are collected & shipped in a cost efficient and timely manner. Arrange Certificate of Origin, EUR 1, ATR, BL, AWB, SAD, NES, C88 & other necessary documents with Chamber of Commerce, HMRC, broker & forwarders, etc. Invoicing customers, agents, partners. Process accruals to vendor payment & issue purchase order reference. Assist line manager in negotiation & maintain rates, services with current suppliers. Ensure customers, sales and partners are always up to date with shipment, booking status, departure & arrival or any delays including cause of such a delay. Manage day to day work without much supervision and at own initiative. Skills and Qualifications of the Shipping / Export Administrator: Previous experience in relevant field. Hands on experience & good understanding of export, import documents in a commercial environment. Working knowledge of Certificate of Origin & ATRs with Chamber of Commerce, EUR1s with HMRC. Understanding of customs procedures, willing to learn & adapt change. Knowledge of Dangerous goods is an advantage. Good numeracy skills and working knowledge of customs, chambers and international transport. Good telephone manners & presentation skills.
