Overview

Purpose The Knowledge & Learning Assistant will provide administrative support to the EDM PSLs and tailored knowledge and learning services to the Capital Markets Group Key Dimensions The role supports the Group PSLs and includes: Maintaining, updating, managing and reviewing various knowhow systems and tools Maintaining EDM precedents and Manual Chapters Locating documents and other knowhow or training resources in response to requests from fee earners of PSLs Assisting with management, administration and support for lawyer training Assisting with production and distribution of client publications and organising client training sessions Key responsibilities and challenges Knowhow Maintaining, updating, managing and reviewing various knowhow systems and tools, particularly the relevant pages on Knowhow Online Maintaining EDM precedents and Manual Chapters Locating documents and other knowhow or training resources in response to requests from fee earners of PSLs Participating in the collection and distribution of knowhow created within the Group Managing the annual update to the Selling Restrictions database liaising with all Linklaters offices/jurisdictions Working with the PSLs to develop and manage new knowhow initiatives Training Assisting with management, administration and support for of training including Global Capital Markets Foundation Course, Capital Markets Core training series, EDM Junior Associates Spring Training Group, client seminars, group prayers and other ad-hoc training Assisting with development of new training programmes and monitoring of training Maintaining training and attendance logs Client Assist with the production of EDM Client publications Assisting with arranging regular client training and calls Preparing and editing Powerpoint presentations for PSLs/partners Characteristics, Skills & Experience required Location Located within commuting distance to central London Character Strong attention to detail Proactive Positive attitude to problem solving Strong organisational skills Team player but able to work autonomously where necessary Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Approachable and willing to learn new skills and take on responsibility Appreciation of the culturally diverse environment in which the firm operates (deirable) Analytical and strategic thinker (desirable) Education / Qualifications Minimum A-Level or equivalent, including a GCSE in English and Maths Languages Excellent English Practical Experience Experience working in a law firm/professional services firm Experience working in a busy environment and juggling competing demands / multiple tasks Relevant experience working in a team Office skills Strong experience of MS office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel etc.) Extremely organised - able to prioritise and manage workload Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent eye for detail and presentation Good office administration skills High degree of adaptability to new technology
