The ideal candidate will enjoy the challenge of working in a flexible environment supporting many diverse business critical systems. The candidate will need good communication skills and be able to work unsupervised. The activities noted below provide a non-exhaustive list of the responsibilities held by the role. The Company will expect the person to assume additional responsibilities, as business needs dictate. Job Purpose This position is a Technical role within the Computershare Global Planning & Delivery – Network & Voice Team and you are responsible for the installation of the organization's EMEA Data Network equipment. Evaluating vendor products in hardware and software and recommending purchases consistent with the organization's short- and long-term objectives. Furthermore, recommending, documenting and implementing policies and standards relating to the Computershare Data Network environment and ensuring adherence to security procedures. Participating in strategic planning and decision-making processes by providing technical assistance and knowledge as a subject matter expert in International and domestic non-geographic Voice transmission techniques, Voice and related hardware (e.g. F5, Extreme, Cisco, juniper, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Meru), and general networking across multiple vendor products. Key Accountabilities Demonstrable interest and passion for Network and Cyber Security In-depth understanding of routing and communication protocols (eg,TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) Hands-on experience installing and managing the following technologies: Cisco Nexus, UCS, Meraki, Citrix Netscaler, Fortinet, Meru. Experience in working with Enterprise DC Solutions and Global networks Experience with Enterprise LAN/WAN and Wireless technologies Strong understanding of Data Network infrastructure technologies including: MPLS Enterprise application and DNS network link load balancers Enterprise stateful inspection and application layer firewalls (ADC, WAF) Enterprise Network Monitoring and management Virtualised Network appliances e.g. Firewalls and Load Balancers An understanding of other infrastructure technologies including: Microsoft Windows Server Operating Environment, Active Directory and Microsoft based Essential Experience Working in a large, complex technical environment which supports 100 or more internal network devices Working closely with External Vendors and other internal technical teams Virtual technologies/products and Cloud computing A Truly Diverse Place to Work Computershare celebrates the diversity of our people and we welcome applications from everyone.
