Job Description

" Deliver world class, innovative and value added services with collaboration and integrity - The team is composed of two functions, Service Desk and Infrastructure. The Infrastructure part of the team is responsible for the network and hosting elements that provide the platform to support our on premise business requirement. Service Desk provide the single point of contact between IT and our internal customers. Service Desk manage incidents and service requests, and also handle communication with the internal customers. As a result of growth within the department we're looking for an additional person with the attributes indicated below: Key Purpose \t * To assure our infrastructure products and service will meet or exceed our aspirations \t * Working within the Infrastructure Team, to design & develop the network strategies and roadmaps to help realise the department vision, business strategy and aspirations. \t * Heavily focussed on analysis and service delivery you will be responsible for developing and maintaining network resources, utilities and configurations. Summary of Responsibilities \t * Deliver network projects, providing effective project team leadership, including information sharing and knowledge development; \t * Managed maintain network assets and configuration items and related information; \t * Discover and implement tools, techniques and processes for managing network assets and configuration items; \t * Lead the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation of change requests affecting network products and services \t * Documenting, operating and updating network service warranties, plans, processes and procedures \t * Deliver our networking services to agreed-on service levels \t * Operate, monitor, tune and report on our network products and services \t * Assure that our network products and services meet business need \t * Contribute to technical Architectural, Innovation and Change Advisory Boards \t * Be accountable within the team for service management and delivery \t * Develop release and deployment plans for managing complex change requests, evaluate risks to the integrity of the infrastructure, review the effectiveness of changes and releases; \t * Use network management products and services to collect agreed availability, capacity and performance statistics; \t * Investigate identified security breaches and manage the resolution of network security incidents; \t * Develop network planning and maintenance plans and tasks \t * Conduct network service maintenance tasks. Essential Criteria \t * Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, report writing and presenting \t * Excellent time management, planning, organisational and delegation skills \t * Highly competent in design and in-life management of Cisco technologies, MPLS networking, WAN, routers, wireless infrastructure, Firewall and Load balancer technologies. \t * Proven experience in network service planning and design; \t * Proven experience in network service availability management; \t * Proven experience in network service capacity and performance management; \t * Proven experience in network service continuity management; \t * Proven experience in network service security management; \t * Develops others by sharing own experience and expertise \t * Ability to see big picture and evaluate the wider implications of solutions or processes \t * Experience in working with vendors and supplier in the delivery of project management of deploy networking infrastructure. \t * 3 years + hands on experience in managing sophisticated multi-site networks. \t * Cisco CCNA qualification \t " Education: Not Specified Employment Type: Permanent
