Overview

I am supporting a client in Nottingham who are looking for a Platform Data Engineer (Azure) to join an established team, liaising with stakeholders across the business to develop a data platform. My client is a market leader in the mobile messaging sector, operating on an international scale, working towards becoming You will have the opportunity to get involved in building new group wide data solutions for evolving business problems, using large volumes of data from cloud Platforms and feeding back to the leadership team to ensure the business focus is correct. Day to day, you could be designing and developing an extraction technology for cloud data sources, researching and suggesting new database products, services and protocols and managing solutions across distributed data centres and data platforms. Keeping to the bleeding edge of the market is important to this business, you will research and identify new database products, services and protocols as well as providing mentorship and training to more junior members of the team. Core skills/Experience Microsoft SQL or MySQL Database SSIS for developing end to end ETL solutions Ability to reverse Engineer legacy reports and devise improvement plans Strong understanding of data management Translating detailed technical and data requirements to key stakeholders Defining solutions in an innovative way Nice to have Experience of knowledge of Azure Data Bricks and Azure Data Factory Familiarity with .NET would be beneficial, as well as PowerBI or Tableau.
