Overview
Global Accounting Network are currently partnered with an exciting sporting brand to recruit for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them on a full time basis. Here there will be an opportunity to utilise existing accounting experience but to also develop and progress a finance career. Responsibilities in this accounts assistant job will include performing bank postings and reconciliations on a daily basis, preparing and processing journals, assisting the management accountant in the preparation and delivery of the monthly management accounts, providing insight to key stakeholders, assisting with balance sheet reconciliations, assisting AP & AR as and when needed, providing general assistance to all members of the finance team and ad hoc analysis as required by the account teams and line manager. The ideal candidate will be studying AAT, or potentially ACCA or CIMA, they will be computer literate, particularly with Microsoft Excel. Additionally previous experience in an accounts team, using a finance system daily (Sage or similar) an ability to work effectively as part of a team and to be discrete when dealing with confidential information.
