Overview

iDentify Solutions are partnered exclusively with a growing business, working in the renewable technologies/energy sector. Due to the current climate, all interviews will be done remotely As a result of continued growth, a new opportunity has become available for a Systems Manager to take over all systems and infrastructure to improve our processes, increase productivity and to identify efficiencies and solutions that will enable them to be more successful. This will be a standalone, strategic role, and one where strong systems/process analysis experience will be vital to the success of it. If successful your primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to - Responsibility for all IT systems and processes Review current IT set up and understand business needs Make recommendations to the senior management based on analysis, experience and an understanding of our strategy. Project manage IT programmes, improvements and upgrades to improve processes and increase productivity Ensure that the full scope of IT in the business is fit for purpose From an experience perspective, you will need to have the following - Experience of being the standalone IT systems manager in a small company Experience of implementing IT projects in small to medium companies and managing them from scratch with minimal impact on the business Used to advising senior management on IT implementation A Prince 2 or Six Sigma accreditation would be a bonus, though it not essential Personality-wise, you will need to have the following attributes to make a success of the role and fit into the company culture - A positive self-starter with a pro-active, solutions-focussed, and can-do attitude An engaging and robust communicator, able to build trusted relationships with people at all levels Sound judgment, commercial awareness and confidence in IT skills Ability to prioritise competing workloads and work under pressure with minimal supervision Willingness to act decisively and take responsibility for own work Energetic, reliable, adaptable and used to using their initiative Highly organised, great attention to detail and a focus on getting things done A problem solver and a natural techie There are 2 offices outside of London in the South West & you will be expected to travel to the other sites as and when needed.
